Quote: U.K. power prices have climbed so high that the cost of a new controversial nuclear plant, criticized for being too expensive, is now looking reasonable.

1.3.2 "Like I said - nuclear GHG emissions are low and getting lower" tweet David Hess
And of course one very timely update to properly round this out. Here are the results of a brand new comprehensive UNECE LCA assessment. Like I said - nuclear GHG emissions are low and getting lower https://unece.org/sites/default/files/2021-10/LCA-2.pdf… ...
1.3.4 Something Happened At GE Hitachi
‘It was becoming clear that nuclear energy would never be the same and that the industry needed a different approach.’ For the last few years, GE Hitachi have been quietly working away at a reactor design that might blow its competitors out the water — including natural gas. https://medium.com/generation-atomic/something-happened-at-ge-hitachi-832996f4a998

1.3.6 EU Green Taxonomy and Greenpeace
#Nuclear is expected to be included in the Green Taxonomy of the EU, based on scientific facts and for the climate’s sake. Obviously Greenpeace can’t handle that. So Greenpeace launches personal attacks, intimidates, harasses. A thread

1.3.9 BWRX-300 for Ontario
Ontario Power Generation (OPG) has selected the BWRX-300 small modular reactor (SMR) for the Darlington new nuclear site, and will work with GE Hitachi Nuclear Energy (GEH) to deploy the reactor. Canada's first commercial, grid-scale, SMR could be completed as early as 2028
